I want my children to attend Pennekamp.  What are the boundaries of Pennekamp's zone?

If I live in Pennekamp's zone, are my children guaranteed a spot at Pennekamp?

This question is dependent upon Pennekamp openings for your children's grade levels.  Some grades are very full, others may have openings.  Note that all Manhattan Beach residents will be placed in an MBUSD school, but whether your children will attend Pennekamp is dependent upon openings in the particular grade.  Please contact the Pennekamp office at (310)798-6223 for specific information on classroom openings. 

We don’t live in Manhattan Beach, but we work here, so can our children attend Pennekamp?

At this time, MBUSD is not accepting out-of-district students at Pennekamp, or any of the other elementary schools. This allows us to prevent overcrowding, and to maintain class-size reduction in PEP-3^rd. Should the District at a later time consider accepting out-of-district students, it would be done only on a space-available basis.
