The day school before starts, the Pennekamp PTA hosts a social for kindergarten and DK students, as well as new students in the upper grades.  This gives the 'new kids' a chance to explore the campus, meet their classmates and feel more comfortable on the first day of school.

There was quite a crowd arriving at the start of the event.

Families met each other and explored the classrooms.

All the Kindergarten teachers and Principal Dale Keldrauk were there to greet the brand new Pennekamp Dragons.

The PTA was at the social to help and to find new volunteers.  The next day was the first day of school, and there was PE teacher Theresa Tower to greet everyone with her new 'Got PE?' sign.  Welcome to another school year, Pennekamp Dragons!
