The first PTA meeting of the year was held on Tuesday, September 20 in the Pennekamp cafeteria.  Here PTA co-president Susan Warshaw and Beautification Committee co-chair Kim Wilson chat before the meeting begins while Denise Ellis, Scrip Committee co-chair sells Scrip. Kim and Denise also chair our Hospitality Committee which provides refreshments for the PTA meetings.

Ms. Fletcher and Mrs. Thorkelson, part of our second grade teaching team, relax for a few seconds before the meeting begins.  The first meeting of the year is full of information for parents and staff.  Manhattan Beach Education Foundation Annual Appeal co-chair (and former PK PTA president) Diane Levitt discusses the MBEF Annual Appeal.

Principal Dale Keldrauk introduces all of our wonderful teachers and discusses the latest happenings at Pennekamp.

The PTA Executive Board was introduced, the 2005-2006 budget was passed and Marjie Block and Tami Brothers discuss activities at Pennekamp to support Hurricane Katrina victims.  Charts from the meeting are available on-line.
