At the Rowell end of campus, taking photos near the dragon was a popular stop before heading off to the classrooms while the 4th grade quad was packed with students and parents awaiting the opening of the doors.

Supplies were stacked everywhere and backpacks were hung awaiting their owners return.

Principal Dale Keldrauk and the office staff were ready for the new year to begin.  Meanwhile, the Tuesday envelope stuffers under chair Joanne Schnuckel began the monumental task of stuffing stacks of "Wednesday" envelopes with information for parents.

Friends (including parents!) happily greeted one another

after a long summer break.

And then the doors opened and teachers

welcomed students into their classrooms.

Coach Tower led Ms. Price and Mrs. Yantz's rooms through some warmup exercises

while Ms. Moriyama has a student deliver items to the office.

There are so many procedures to learn and so many rules to follow.

But we're Dragons so we learn pretty quickly. 

And at the end of an exciting day, we still have plenty of smiles left!
