November 16, 2005 was 50s Day at Pennekamp!  Fifty years ago on this day, Curtis Street School was renamed "Aurelia Pennekamp Elementary" in honor of Ms. Pennekamp, the district nurse for many years.

Poodle and pencil skirts, scarves, bobby sox, cool shades,

leather jackets and dungarees ruled the day!
