The
Pennekamp cafeteria was transformed into a gorgeous art gallery for
our Young At Art year end exhibition. Every student from PEP
to 5th grade had a piece of art on display.
The
Pennekamp PTA served dessert and beverages in the cafeteria as
well.
Young
At Art began the year in October with "Kinetic Art with Yaacov
Agam" followed in November with "Pre-Columbian Drinking
Vessels".
"Boomerangs
and Kidney Beans" was the January project with February's
"In the Garden with Vincent" proving to be a student
favorite.
"Monotypes"
was the March offering with April's "Face in the Mirror"
influenced by Picasso as the final project.
Thank
you to Young At Art chairs Liz Neal and Donna Gilroy for heading
Pennekamp's Young At Art program and to the numerous Young at Art
classroom docents for running the projects in each room. Your
efforts are greatly appreciated!
