Pennekamp's
11th annual Richstone Feast was a HUGE success raising $4600 for the
Richstone Center in Hawthorne.
Pennekamp
families and staff prepared pots of chili and donated all of the
food items served to the 550 people who attended the feast.
Younger students create all of the decorations on the tables and the
5th graders set up the cafeteria and served the meal.
An
opportunity drawing was held for many wonderful prizes donated by
generous Pennekamp families.
5th
graders were the evening's servers.
Everyone
participated in the opportunity drawing, even the volunteers working
in the kitchen!
The
Richstone feast is time to enjoy the togetherness of family while
helping others.
Beautiful
smiles
and
happy faces
are
always in abundance.
Thank
you to Mike Warner and Donna Barney for once again chairing our
Richstone Feast.
Thank
you to parent coordinators Joanne Schnuckel (overall), Julie
Greenwald (volunteers), Mamta Nath (food) and Sue Hefner (raffle)
for all of the hours of hard work.
Thank
you to the entire Pennekamp community for preparing chili, donating
food and raffle items and volunteering your time to serve food and
clean up afterwards.
Thank
you to Taryn Kamimoto, Taylin Kamimoto and Tammy Choy for providing
these photos.
