The Kinderthon is a very special celebration at the MBUSD elementary schools. 

It celebrates the end of the Kindergarten year by pairing up each kindergarten student with a 5th grade "buddy".

   Every team then participates in numerous field events.

At Pennekamp, Mrs. Brown led everyone in a round of stretching to warm up those muscles.  Then the excitement began as everyone ran to their first station!

The parachute was a lot of fun and showed off our knowledge of colors.

The sack races with our buddies was a bit more difficult with both long and short legs in the same bag,

but we did just fine!

The hula hoops were not as easy as they looked, but with the assistance, we got the hang of it.  If you look carefully to the right of the right hand photo, you'll see Mr. Keldrauk showing us how its done!

The obstacle course was really easy.  In fact, it was so easy, we showed our buddies how to do it!
