Ms.
Hooper read her class a Halloween story before the start of
Pennekamp's annual Halloween parade.

Electricity
ran through the air and it was very difficult to stay seated but
FINALLY, it was time!

The
haunted sounds of the ghouls and goblins of the Mira Costa High
School Marching Band and Color Guard welcomed everyone to the parade
field.

Many
of the band members are Pennekamp alumni.

And
even though we knew who they were, they still looked really scary in
their costumes!

Everyone
waited in anticipation as the parade was about to begin and then...

There
they were! Cheerleaders, fairies, princesses, indians, witches
and a whole lot more!

Who is
under that mask? Do you know?

From
Screams to Sponge Bob...

everyone
took their turn parading around the field.

Our
thanks to the Pennekamp PTA's Halloween Parade chair Christine
Dillon and custodian Nelson Tiangson for their efforts in setting up
the parade. We'd also like to thank Director Amy Johnson and
the Mira Costa High School Marching Band and Color Guard for making
our Halloween Parade such a festive occasion!
Additional
photos of our Halloween celebration are available.
